‘70 Convertible Deck Lid Height

When I open or close the convertible top I have to hold the deck lid up to allow the convertible top to either go down or up to close it. It is a really tight fit. Is there a way to have the deck lid open more? Some kind of adjustment?

Maybe you need to adjust the springs for the deck lid to hold up more.

There is no adjustment of the springs or hinges and I don't understand exactly what it is you are saying, however if it is the rear of the deck lid that needs to be raised, install a flat washer between the deck lid and the hinge at the rear bolt.

I believe there's multiple positions on the springs where they hook onto the part of the hinge assembly. You move the springs to a tighter tension detent.
