C5 Z51 Rear Sway Bar Links

In prepping my 2000 Z51-optioned Corvette for the Clemson regional, I noted that the rear Z51 sway bar links are not mentioned in the TIMJG. In researching service replacements, I found that the originals have been discontinued and replaced by the later GM# 20822934 rear sway bar links. I've uploaded an image to show the Z51 option rear sway bar links.

What have other 2000 owners found with their rear sway bar links?

Tom, I’ve replaced the sway bar links on a couple of cars for friends. We used the modern replacement links made by Moog and were very satisfied with the quality, fit and function. The originals were a great lightweight design but unfortunately didn’t last very long and as you stated were discontinued. Good luck with judging at your Regional.

The original rear sway bar links for 2000 Corvettes with FE3 suspension (part of Z51 suspension) were GM #10424745. These were also used for 2001 with FE7 suspension. I do not show that FE7 was used after 2001 for C5 Corvettes even though Z51 remained available.

GM #10423035 links was used for 97-01 Corvettes with standard suspension and GM #10435298 was used for 02-03 Corvettes with standard suspension. Both of these as well as the 10424745 mentioned above were replaced by the GM #20822934 sometime after 2005 but I do not have an exact date. The 20822934 were also used for C6 Corvettes.

The 20822934 had a forged or cast aluminum body. I don't know the configuration of the other part numbers mentioned above. However, I would be surprised if they were of plastic construction.
