This deduction may have been an error on the judges' part. Dave H and I have done our best to decipher possibilities. You should now understand the particulars with "vacuum lines" cruise control hoses, and the basic SOP regarding things that are not in the book.

You're prepared for the next outing. During the owner review, make sure you understand what the judges are taking deductions for. NCRS is an educational process. Enjoy the learning.
Yes sir that is correct and now I know for future events to ask questions while they are showing me the sheets. This was my first ever NCRS event so I was still learning and figuring out how things were done.

I do know my cruise control hoses are not correct after our conversation and I will be looking for the correct hoses.

You'll continue to learn "how things are done" at every event you attend.

Regarding "correct" cruise control hoses. I'm 90% sure that the small hose should have the EPDM. You can see this in the pic of my car, although that hose is actually the washer hose. I'm not so sure that the large hose should have EPDM on it. Take this approach. I'd leave them both the way they are. If the lack of EPDM is found in the future, it should only be 1 point. No biggie. If in the future while junk-yarding you find a 90s era GM car with 3/32 vacuum hose with EPDM in good enough condition to be serviceable, scavenge it for your car.

I sent you a PM. I have a hypothesis as to how this error (it looks like it is) occurred. I'm curious.
