Re: Corvette News
Keith,
I am not sure how far back to the beginning of Corvette News is that the NCM has in it's collection but you could request that information and see what they have.
Their the only ones that I know with any older issues.

Re: Corvette News
Keith, I always found it amazing that at the swap meetings you practically had to beg people to buy old issues of Corvette News. I dragged around 100's of the things going way back into the early 60's for years. Gave them away for a buck or two each the hard way. Good luck on finding the early issues. John- Top

Re: Corvette News
John and Tony,I have bought volume 1 number 4 from a well know vendor. It got here and it looks very very nice boy is it nice. As I was putting it a way a light came on in my head as I remember some where that someone was or did reprint all of the Volume 1's. I thought I would throw out the question and see if anyone else had any input on this subject. Now that I have your guys attention tell me which volume does the " Sounds of the 61 Corvette" go with. John you would not happen to have or know where I can get a very nice copy of Volume 1 number two would you? Thanks Keith- Top

Re: Corvette News
Keith,
There is a very good reproduction of Corvette News Volume 1 #1. Copies have been floating around for years and it is very difficult to tell the difference other than the lack of 'ageing' and a subtle difference in the location of the Chevrolet Corvette emblem on the map of the U.S. I was able to compare some samples side by side and it was not all that obvious. I am not aware of any reproductions of any other issues of Corvette News but maybe someone else has better insight on the subject. Hope this helps,

Thanks Arland if you run cross where someone may be reproducing them I would appreciate you posting it. It is kind of like John D posted that he use ot haul them around and tried to get a dollar for them. Well it takes a few more dollars to ge the these day and times so when I pay for an original I want to make sure that is what I am getting.

Re: Corvette News
Keith, Last night I was in bed thinking about what you said about the early volumes being reproduced. Then an idea hit me. A long while back didn't NCRS reprint early copies of the first "Restorers". ??? Might you be thinking of that??? You won't get that one on ebay for a few bucks for sure. John D.- Top
