I recently picked up a correct rebuilt dated smog pump for my 1968 Corvette 427 390HP but it did not come with the diverter valve. I would like to know what year range the correct diverter valve applies to. In other words, is the correct 1969 diverter valve also the correct valve for an Aug. 1968 Corvette? If it turns out to be difficult to get the correct diverter valve for my 68, will a 69 diverter valve bolt on and function correctly on my correct 68 smog pump?

See my previous post. Believe me, though, a correct 1968 AIR pump is WAY easier to locate than a correct 1968 big block diverter valve. So, don't get the idea that because you found a correct pump it will be just as easy to find a correct diverter valve. As I mentioned previously, the 1969 and 1971 big block diverter valve will work but it's no easier to find than the 1968 and it wouldn't be correct. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
