1979 Shocks

Hi;

I just removed a set of shocks from my 1963. They are Delco Products. Before I commit them to the great parts bucket in the sky I thought I would ask if you guys thought they might be of some use to someone. Here are the part numbers;

Front 4975485
Dated 270 79

Rear 4975487
Dated 276 79

All say Delco Product Dayton Ohio and are black in color

They have leaked a bit but are otherwise in very nice shape

In my opinion, if they say Delco on them, keep the shock on your spare parts shelf. Or send to me for mine. I would look at the configuration compared to originals, they may be closer than the replacements you can buy today. Should be minimal deduction.

Those shock part numbers were not originally used on a 1979 (or any other year). They are GM/Delco replacement shocks for 63-81 Corvettes once available under GM PART (on box) numbers 4975486 and 22011967. However, they are otherwise configured properly for any 1963-82 Corvette.
