67 rear ride height question
After restoring my chassis on a 67, I noticed that the rear body sits higher above the wheel by about 1.5 inches. I prefer the car to sit lower and was wondering if maybe my sway bar is either installed wrong or if there is an adjustment I can make to lower the car. I have included a picture of my sway bar installation. Any thoughts please?

I have the same problem. I replaced the rear spring and the ride height is a bit high. The spring guy explained to me that it will settle down after about 1000 miles. So Unless I drive my car to Carlisle I guess it will ride a little high until the end of the summer.

What? What part of "if" don't you understand? You "are" driving to Carlisle from what I hear, or Pasta will kick your ....
Tell them about your brakes don't drive enough, I think that was the diagnosis.

You don't know me, but you can trust me....
If you are having a problem getting that recommended 1000 breakin miles, for what ever reason, I can be persuaded to come and get that 'Problem' and return her to you in a week or so at the correct ride height.
Heck, I'll even throw in the driving your brakes issue that Kevin makes reference to.
That's just the kinda guy I am.......

Getting in here a little late.
There is a very clear depiction of the bar in the Chevrolet Service Manual, but that won't change trim height(s) unless the fasteners are over torque specs. The ride(trim) heights are spelled out in the AIM and are the goal. See many Corvettes that are inconsistent because of option packages. An example of that are big block cars are usually high in the back and low in the front. Have had much success over the years just cleaning painting and installing liner kits in original springs.

Did you leave all bolts loose that fasten such items as trailing arms to frame to allow the rubber bushings to seek a "neutral" position with full weight (completed car, bumpers etc) when installing? If not, then go back and loosen those items, let the car settle and retighten WITH full weight on the suspension.
If you are accustomed to a ride height that was there for years and you replaced all the rubber spring bushings etc then the new height will be higher. After a period of time these will compress some......
If you have a big block the rear will be high in relation to the front...... with correct springs in the front.Comment
