What I was stating is that we know there were two different envelopes -- 1968 & 1969 -- with different part numbers. What we don't know is if there was a third. My early 1970 had the 1969 envelope -- no surprise there.
The AIMs only show two part numbers, and as one follows the envelope mention in the AIMs 1972 doesn't show a key envelope. Does that mean 1972s didn't get one? We need some original owners of 1971s and 1972s to come forward, ideally with the goods, or testimony about the lack of it.

in which a well respected C2 enthusiast stated there was no key envelope for 1967. I have not checked a 1967 AIM to verify that, but as I recall there were no contradictions to his statement.
