Mid Year Trim Tag Date Question

    Hello:
Would like to know how much leeway is given to the NCRS Birthday Book at a Regional Judging Meet. Here is an example of a St.Louis Body Car: If the serial number of the car indicates a Monday assembled vehicle and the car has a Body Build day of the same
week only on Wednesday would the car pass Judging? Why I ask is that
we all know that the Birthday Book is only an educated guess. How much
leeway is given? Up to a week?
    Thanks; Larry
    Larry

The 'birthday book' as you stated is comprised of educated guesses extrapolated from a certain amount of hard data. It should not be used for the purpose you mention for that very reason.

I would respectfully suggest that the book in question is NOT a publication tied in directly to the official judging process. Those that are consist of the judging guides, specification guides and Trim Tag authentication Library, Vol 1. The fact that there are several "birthday" books out there would lead to disputes, due to the approximate nature of the information, as you describe.

Are you claiming you got a deduct due to body build date ? Why don't you give us a pic, or all the stamped info, and let us discuss ?

        Hello:
No it never happened to me; but am curious what do the judges use for
reference if not the NCRS Birthday Book? Still would like to know what the
        leeway is.
        Thanks; Larry
