Could someone tell me what an aluminum bellhousing #3858401 might fit?

    Thanks

Are you finding this number embossed on a bellhousing or on a GM parts tag?

In any event, GM #3858401 is the part number of a bellhousing designed for 12-3/4" flywheel applications. FUNCTIONALLY, it's the same as the 3840383 and 3858403 bellhousings used on all small block Corvettes from 1964-68. It will also fit 65 L-78, 67-69 L-88/ZL-1, and 70-72 ZR-1.
