      Joe

I've asked the question of the guys involved. For info, my '78 does have P/W. It's a B2Z, so pretty much has "the works" except a heated rear window.

Anyone else got any information on this???

Re: 1978 Fuse-Box Question - Where are the "Shark" Experts?

        Joe, and All

OK, all the cars in question have power windows.

As I say, one is definately a '79, mine is a '78, the otehr is "said to be"a '78.

So, someone out there in NCRS land (other than Joe) HAS to have seen the type of fusebox in my original post and can shed some light on it?

Come on all you "shark" experts!

I have a 79 harness and, when I compare your picture to it, I can see no difference. I don't know if that helps.

Thanks. I'm beginning to think that both the other cars are actually '79s.

I'll take it up on the Corvette Forum.

That's pretty much what I've been thinking is the case. It would be quite easy to confirm. Just have them tell you the VIN number. The 6th character in the VIN of a 1978 will be "8"; the 6th character in the VIN for a 1979 will be "9".

                  Hi Joe

                  Thanks.

I've now confirmed that the fusebox in question is from a '79. So now to get the VINs from my buddies. It won't be the first "1978" in the UK that's turned out to be something else... a 77 in one case, or a 79!

Wow! I could see someone confusing a 1978 and a 1979 since they are very close in most aspects of configuration. However, confusing a 1977 with a 1978 is something else entirely.
