C2 Tank Cap - Before and After

I posted pictures of this cap a while back and received some good feedback on it with regard to it being original (a production line cap). The only question for some folks is if the center rivet is supposed to be brass or copper. This one looks to be aluminum. In any case, Jeff Salz re-plated it for me and it came out great. He used a Caswell plating setup. I asked him to plate it center rivet and all and am real pleased with the results, thanks again Jeff. If anyone can answer the rivet question it would be greatly appriciated.

The rivet is ALUMINUM for both the '307' and the later RC-26.

Sweet......plus Jeff did 2 C2 gas caps for me, same results.......outstanding!!!
