64 Hubcaps

Trying to restore my hubcaps for a 64. Does anybody know where a person can get frosted paint that resembles the original?

Hi, I was going to repaint my 64 'late' style caps but all the paint the vendors were selling was basically dull aluminum, which when compared to the original silver/grey color was way too light. Might be more correct for a 63 frosted cap. I used some good ole turtle wax and carefully cleaned the frosting to reveal a nice satin silver color but still not the light 'dull aluminum' color. Morel to the story: if you can save the original paint with cleaning carefully, do so !

Thanks Dan for the reply. Unfortunately the finish on my caps was to bad, finish missing, scraps etc. I got some dull aluminum paint all the vendors sell but doesn't even come close to matching original finish. I was hoping somebody would have a better alternative.

Corvette America sells a wheelcover paint that is supposed to be the 64 frosted silver. Same color as the guage surrounds on the instrument cluster.

Thanks Andy for the reply. Unfortuneately thats the paint I purchaced and is not correct.
