    71 454 Temperature Sending Unit

I have 1971 454 Auto and from all the pictures I have looked at it appears that there is two sending units. One above spark plug # 6 which shows two flat spades and one above spark plug # 3 which I think has either a single post with either a threaded stud or a slip on stud for the wire. Is this correct, if not what is there supposed to be and are they both temp senders or is one for something else.
    Thanks in advance

The device on the passenger side, rear of the cylinder head is a SWITCH and not a SENDER. It's the temperature switch for the TCS portion of the CEC emissions control system.

The device on the driver side, front cylinder head is the temperature SENDER for the in-car gauge. For 1971, it was a pin terminal connector. The pin was was not threaded.
