1965 Turn Signal Flasher Location

The judging guide calls for a turn signal flasher to be attached to a metal clip on the left side radio panel. I have a radio delete car, the metal clip is there but no signal flasher is installed. Should the metal clip be installed even though the flasher is installed in a different location? Also, were there multiple locations for the flashers in 1965?

Michael -

The side panel, clip, and flasher are in the same place whether the car has a radio or not; presence/absence of a radio had no effect on any of those parts.

Chances are you will find your flasher flopping around in the area where the radio would normally be, attached to the IP wiring harness.

Bill, you were right, I found the flasher dangling from the wiring harness behind where the radio would be if I had one in my car.

I am really thankful that there is an NCRS technical discussion board to help out a newer member like me when I need help.
