I seem to be finding conflicting data on what is the correct vacuum advance for my 1966 427/390. Can someone give me a "definitive" answer? Thanks, as always.

Re: 1966 427/390 vacuum advance
At idle (700 rpm). No vacumn advavance. 4 dgrees advance. Do you also need internal advance info?
If so it is 24 degrees at 2800 rpm.- Top

Re: 1966 427/390 vacuum advance
Curt -- I don't think there's any doubt that the correct vac adv unit for a '66 L36 (either 1111141 or 142 distrib) is the 1115355 unit, as Joe L. (I think) mentioned.
And the advance specs for this vacuum unit, from Delco Remy test specifications supplement (green) book are: inches Hg to start advance 5 to 7". Inches Hg for max advance 11.2-12.7". Max distributor advance 8 degrees (equals 16 degrees crank advance).
Now the centrifugal advance is a different story, which Jerry may be quoting.- Top
