72 ignition shielding

Can someone confirm the ignition shielding for my 72 car. We have recently aquired this car and are headed to Bloomington with it for a survivor certification. In looking the car over there is only a ignition shield over the rear two spark plugs on both sides (including the uprights and the distributor cover). The assembly manual shows this set up also...I have a couple of midyears and they have shields on all of the plugs. So...any insight will be helpful. Thanks, Henry

Henry,
If you're asking about a 350 engine car you're right. There are just shields for the rear pairs of plugs along with the V-shaped shield on each side. This info is in the Tech Guide, Mechanical, Section 10.

I have a 72 LT1 (SB) and the shielding is correct as you described. Good luck at Bloomington.

Thanks Guys...I really appreciate the confirmation. If you are at Bloomington...look for us...we will have a 72 Blue/black A/C, power windows, tilt tele...I bought the car from the original owner last fall. Thanks again. Henry
