    Wiring harness question

Can someone tell me what the purple and brown wires that terminate in the connector is for? They are the ones just to the driver's side of the radio.

    Thanks.

Tony, believe this connector is for the turn signal flasher that's mounted on the radio side panel.

Tony -- I'll confirm what Michael H. has identified.

Unfortunately, the GM wiring diagrams don't show the flasher circuitry terminating in a separate plug, located remotely from the fusebox.

Thanks Wayne. You're right; the wiring diagram didn't show it (or at least I couldn't see it). I saw three purple wires, but none showed this particular wiring set up with the brown wire.

I'm finishing up my dash and trying to run down all the little things.

          Take care.

I gotta check again, but if I remember, the plug that goes to my brake light switch on the top of my '71's brake pedal assembly looks a lot like that...just my poor memory....but C2's might be different...

Jeremy. Thanks for your reply. My car is a '65 L78 car (396/425). Michael and Wayne were dead on with their answers. I have already made the connection per their posts.
