    1959 windshield

I am looking for a person or business in Northern CA to refurbish/assemble my 1959 windshield/frame. I am not interested in trying myself, for the first time, this assembly process. I already have a new windshield, have not had the posts repaired yet. Last choice would be Corvette Central, but I don't want to ship my windshield to them and would have to sell mine. The other components need at least cleaned and polished too.

    Joseph...
I can't recommend anyone in northern Calif., but you should considering going ahead and having the windshield posts reworked. There was a great picture posted here recently that showed this repair. I had mine done at CC and was happy. For the costs of $2,295, you can afford to take your time and have fun doing this assembly yourself

      Hi Joseph,

I have a 61 and have been to many of the shops around the South Bay(San Jose etc) area. I can tell you from my experience that by far Willy O'Hara at Willy's Corvette Body is the most knowledgeable body work and anything related to it including windshields. As a matter of fact, the last time I spoke with him was regarding body work and windshield work.

If he cannot do it he could recommend someone good.
      He is at 4082972262.

Without any usable, timely replies, I spent about 2 hours calling Northern CA businesses listed in the Northern CA Corvette Association monthly "K". Called Corvette -Clinic/Express/World/City/Care of Sacto/Stop. One of them recommended Glenn at Aces Body & Paint Place in Rancho Cordova. He will mod the posts, have them rechomed, polish the center pieces, clean/coat the upper inner support and then assemble it. Adding up the costs, about $1500 total. Maybe this info will be of use to someone else working on a C1.
