1966 A/C compressor foil label decal

The foil decal that is on compressor has the model number and a code number. What is the code number and how is this number determind? The repro decals have the model number but not the code number.

    Thanks,

    Gary Jaynes

    Gary:

I have a 1967 factory air car, but I believe that the compressor labels are similar to 1966. The "code number" field is where the compressor build date is marked. The date format is MMDDYS. The compressor label on my car is marked 012672, which translates to January 26, 1967, second shift. For reference, my car was built in late March 1967.

There was a question on this same topic just a few days ago. You can probably search under my name to find it. It discussed compressor label dates and the various ways to mark/stamp the blank reproduction labels.
