carb question

I am looking at the NCRS Judging Guide 3rd and 4th editions. Looking at the 70-72 Carter Q-Jet carb dating the 3rd edition shows no "I" month and the 4th does. 3rd shows "J" for Sept. and 4th show "I" for Sept. Which is correct?

We'uns be a workin' on it. Gotta confirm that "I" was used. Don't know how the change came into being.

As the reference is specific to the Carter-Built Quadrajets, and very few of them had been seen at the time of the third edition, I would expect the fourth edition to contain updated information. Rochester service information specifically excludes "I" from use in Dates, however the need to outsource some production to Carter required some compromise on the stampings.
