Frame stencil C 1

I am trying to find my frame stencil on my May built 61. My recollection is that it is on the passenger side. My frame is coated pretty heavily with undercoating so I think the stencil will be preserved. Any suggestions on how to remove the old undercoating without removing the stencil? And is there a refernce point to measure from to get me close to the location of the stencil. Jerry

Jerry,
I searched and searched for the number on the passenger side of my 68. Finally, about 10 minutes ago found it on the drivers side 6 or 8 inches in front of the number 3 body mount. Now I am trying to figure out how to remove some undercoating as well.

The frame stencil is on the drivers side just under the dirver's seat. There is a hole about 2" down from the bottom edge of the frame. the letters are just left of the hole. Check posts on this subject in about March.
