Fusable Link

I'm in the process of final underhood stuff on my '75, and the starter harness is really looking beat. There was obviously a problem at one time, as Bubba has installed a crimped on fusable link on the power lead as well as the ignition switch/solenoid lead....

My problem is, my local parts stores look at me like I'm speaking a foreign language when I ask for a fuseable link.....no joy at Corvette Central or Eckers either.....I searched archives and got lots of hits, but most posts were a couple of years old....

Can anyone give me a lead on a source for the magic #14 wire?

i bought a roll of fusible link for the local ADC Delco supplier years ago. try them.mike

Tommy I bought a roll of the 14 gauge fusible link wire from my local NAPA store about 6 months ago.

Any decent auto parts store has them in blister-packs, with the correct large ring terminal already attached.

I used exactly what John H. suggested on my 74 with great results. I believe I bought a couple of those blister packs at an Auto Zone store.
