    66 Big Block Heater Question

Was a block heater an option in 66 I can not find it mentioned in any of my books. The car was delivered to Denver - so it is likely it was a dealer installed option.

    Thanks

An engine block heater was not a regular production option (RPO) for the 1966 model year. However, engine block heaters were offered by GM as an ACCESSORY item for installation by dealer or owner. I believe the only year that an engine block heater was offered as an RPO was 1969. It's possible, though, that cars of other model years delivered to Canada MAY have included engine block heaters as standard equipment. I'm not sure of that, though.
