What are the dimensions of the 6V batteries for the 53 or 54 Vette models. I need to find a suitable replacement battery for my car for normal usage.

What is the product number of a current (Delco) 6V replacement battery for these cars?

There is no listing for 6V Corvette batteries in my '95 Delco Battery catalog, but they do list a BCI Group 1 "413A" 6V for 40-54 pass. cars.

Group 1 dimensions:

OAL 8.7"
OAW 6.6"
OAH 8.8"
Weight (wet) 34 lbs.

Do you know the BCI Group number?

The catalog also lists some 6V batteries that are of the long, narrow configuration (BCI Group 3EH) - 19.3 x 4.3 x 9.8 inches.

Look at the AC-Delco web site to see if they still offer any 6V batteries.

duke has it. group 1 batterys for the 53 and 54 and 55 if 6 cyl vettes.mike

Dint you just get a 54 vett ? check the dimensions of the battery tray , sorry I dont have it.
