I'm debating what to do with my 69 427 with the incorrect carb. My vehicle build is Nov '69. Does a Jan or March dated '69 carb impact scoring because it is so much eralier than the build date?

Re: Carb date vs. Build date
Since '69 was a strike year, is the 6 month rule extended at least the duration of the strike?- Top

Re: Carb date vs. Build date
Terry,
I was referring to Don's (or other post-strike) cars. Do they get an extra month?
I should have added that to my post.

Re: Carb date vs. Build date
Not ALL post-strike cars. Only those that are close to the strike date. After all one can imagine the parts suppliers were also not producing parts during the time cars were not produced, but once car production began the flow of parts also began again. One has to use a little common sense, but also not allow a free pass on ALL dates.Terry- Top

Re: Carb date vs. Build date
I have been looking at hundreds of 7029202 carbs and have not seen (yet) any with a date after July 69. Would love to see a picture if they exist.Ralph Adams
