    Who else needed a '70 1108400 starter?

I've been looking for an 1108400 starter for a while now. In either a post or an e-mail on the topic a little while back, someone (I don't remember who) wrote that they were looking for one also.

I found two of them today at Paragon's vintage division. I bought one and they still have a March '70 in stock. I hope this works for you.

Tom, I'm happy you finally found one. Two! See how persistence pays off? And I hope you got a great deal on it. I only wish that other 1108400 was a January dated one.

        Rob,

I would call them if I were you. I only asked them about early '70. They very well may have a few 69 units also. Good luck.

I could have been the one. I'm still looking for one for my Nov 69 L-46 w/AC. I've checked with Paragon but no luck so far. Chicago Corvette told me they had one, took my credit card and sent nothing. I had to file a complaint with Visa that's pending. A well known and often mentioned alternator expert recommended Chicago Corvette to me. Don't go there though; they're trouble.

I could use one, with a February date of 1971.

I was just on the C-3 Corvette Forum and saw this link to ZIP Products. Seems like these are in high demand.

I had one on order with Zip for about 60 days. They then voluntarily gave me my money back and canceled the order as their supplier couldn't find one.

Mztrcarb (Alf) just listed a March 1970 one on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-...spagenameZWDVW

                    FYI

Chicago Corvette Supply and Mztrcarb are one in the same. They sell a lot of stuff and also receive a fair amount of negative feedback.

                    Marc's comment is not uncommon.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't realize that those two names were one and the same individual. I appreciate the warning.
