    Motor City Regional Photos

    The links below lead to many photographs I took on Sunday, May 17, at the Motor City Regional GM Proving Grounds Tour. This was truly a very special event and I don't think many participants understand the significance of what took place.

    I have worked for GM for 31+ years (counting today) and have been to the Proving Grounds in Milford along with the Desert Proving Grounds formerly in Mesa, AZ, dozens of times. Except for pre-approved news media or training films, I have never seen cameras permitted by individual visitors. I have never seen any visitors, including GM employees, afforded the opportunity to drive their own vehicles on Proving Grounds highways and test tracks. I have never seen anyone provided the opportunity to really stretch out the performance capabilities of a vehicle the way we were permitted with this event.

    This event was the chance of a lifetime and I am very thankful to the individuals taking the time and effort to set this up.

                  Thanks, I appreciate your comments. The Regional was a great event. My wife and I only had small parts volunteering. The Michigan Chapter committee worked very hard. Thanks again.
