First Post For Long Time Corvetter

    Hello All,

I got my Corvette in February 1970 from my friend Art. It is a 1963 FI Coupe. An early car with the deep seat buckets and a smooth dash center. #1799, born in October/November 1962. Back then we spent quite a lot of time on good old Van Nuys Blvd. As you might imagine, in those days it was about chasing women and autocrossing.
Art caught Lynda and married her. A few years later Lynda suggests to Art that if he sold the Corvette he might make a few bucks. She also suggested to him that if he kept the Corvette it would cost him 50% of everything he owned. California
I still have the Corvette, and Art still has Lynda. A win win deal if there ever was one. Art and I are still friends.

    Thanks NCRS.

Bob, really cool story. I moved to Ca in 71 just as the Van Nuys experience was fading. My wife, since 74, was very active in the V.N. scene and still fondly remembers Bob's Big Boy!

We now live in Santa Clarita, and we own a restored 54. My next car, if I get it past committee, will be a 63 SWC, preferably FI. DONT EVERVSELL THAT CAR, except maybe to me .
