Are battery spacers correct for 1966, if so do they go in the corners of the battery tray? I do not see them pictured in the AIM. I bought a set from a vendor and I want to install my battery correctly. Thanks, Craig

Re: C2 Battery Spacers
If what you're talking about are small plastic or rubber pieces, I believe these are attached to the corners of the battery HOLD-DOWN bracket. I don't think these were ever used in PRODUCTION, although it's possible they were part of the original hold-down brackets. Not to my recollection, though. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: C2 Battery Spacers
Craig,
I think the spacers were to be install on 63 corvette's but they make the positive battery cable dangerously close the the top battery shield. There is a 1963 TSB (I believe) to remove them if this condition exists and I don't know if they were used after 63.- Top

Craig, I am with Tim, early 63 had them and then went away because of positive cable grounding out. Would not use them.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
