    Aluminum repair

Is there anyone within a 200 mile radius of Louisville, KY who is capable of repairing aluminum heads / blocks correctly and cosmetically?

Thanks and wish a safe and happy memorial day to everyone. Thanks to all who have served and continue to serve this great country.

Don't know of anyone within a 200 mile radius of LOU. Years ago I remember seeing adds in Super Chevy about RHS (racing head service), think I have the name right. Anyway I think they have joined up with Competition Cams for services. Might be worth checking out.

I used to work with a guy that I believe did a lot of work on aluminum heads for racing engines. I don't readily have a number or address for him but his name was Jim Rader, the name of his business was something like Rader Aluminum .....(?), and he was located just off Route 61 in between Columbus and Mt. Gilead, Ohio. A sign advertising his business was on Route 61. Telephone area code would probably be either 740 or 419. If I find out more, I'll follow up.

It's not within 200 mile but Jerry McNeish is pretty well known for his ability to repair and restore aluminum items. Here's his web site http://www.z28camaro.com/restosvcs.html

Up to 200 miles, it would be less expensive to ship to the right guy then to pay for the gas.
