    Mershons-1970 Corvette LT-1

Take a look at the engine in this LT-1. It has an oil filler tube in the front of the engine. Think that's a 1969 302 Z28 or 1969 327 block? The 0010 block went from 1969 to 1980, right?
Most of you experts will pick up on a few other things.

The oil fill tube is in the intake. Could be a replacement intake???

Maybe that oil filler along with the Aluma-Blast hood latches are part of option code ohmy?

Valve covers reversed, wrong alternator pulley, wrong shielding to name a few.

Mershons did admit that the intake was wrong, etc. but it is a numbers matching 350/370 with the dual fuel lines. Besides the "option code ohmys" Alan listed there's also the "awsh_t option code" smog system delete.

Which duel fuel lines are you talking about? The ones at the carb? There should be a single fuel line from the tank to the fuel pump.

Isn't there a fuel line and a vapor return line?

Scott, There's no vapor return line on Holley equipped Corvettes in 1970. The LT-1 cars are the only Holley cars. All of the other 1970's has Quadrobogs.

                    Scott,
It's the kind of very nice looking car that just overwhelms a buyer that hasn't seen the NCRS advertisement that urges people to join BEFORE buying the car.

Alan, I so try to encourage people to join the NCRS. I recall the days when I was a guest user here and saw so much professionalism mixed with friendly banter and humor. That's why I joined both the National level and the Texas Chapter. No other site besides the 1970 Corvette Registry have I been as impressed. I don't belong to any car clubs. I do assist Juliet Page, Mike McCaul, and Kurt Neiman with the 1970 Corvette Registry and every chance I get when contacting people whether it's at Corvette shows, swap meets, eBay, etc. I encourage people to join. Then they can ask technical questions about Corvettes here BEFORE they take the plunge.

                        Scott,
Juliet is a member of the Chapter I belong to...Mason Dixon. I have the pleasure of judging with her on occasion. The hard work she put into the 70 Registry is quite incredible. I find the Registry useful even though I have a 71.
                        Regards,
                        Alan

Original 1970 '2110 intakes didn't have an oil filler tube on them. And LT-1's have no fuel return line on them either.....and as previously stated, the valve covers are backwards and .......like said before, it's a really pretty car, but I question it's claim to being an LT-1. And for some reason....I seem to remember a car like that one in Mr. Mecum's one ring circus one night after I DVR'ed the auction. Could be wrong......

Take my advice and join the NCRS (as I am a newbie), I recently purchased a car from the mentioned dealer, I asked many questions about the car (every thing is orginal, they told me), I was very happy with the car, until I went to my 1st corvette meet only to find out the car had manyyyy parts from other years, since this group has helped me tremendously getting the car right.

Has anyone seen this car or does anyone know much about it? Is it for real? Is the engine a restamp? If it has been with the same collector for the past 20 years, it seems likely there must be some documentation. What is the condition in current state?
