      They are prone to tears in that area. If you got 10 years out of it, I would consider myself lucky.

          Agree with Wayne, tops are like tires some guys get a lifetime out of them some get ten years. Back in the day when we drove these cars almost every day, three to four years was really good for a top to last.

              Thanks Wayne and Terry for the replies. I guess that the tearing is more common than I thought considering the age.
