    I doubt if they're 3/16" pop rivets - that's the size that was used on midyear trim tags, and those heads are HUGE.

      It's interesting to observe how their specifications changed over time.

      For the C3s, with the trim plate mounted on the hinge pillar, those trim plate pop rivets are standard aluminum 1/16" diameter shanks if I remember correctly. Maybe they realized there was virtually no load on that trim plate and it was in a sheltered area, where the midyears were riveted onto steel structure; while out of plain sight, they still could see some abuse.

      Since my car doesn't have the pop rivet, you could well be right on the size. Jerry can buy a small package of each for head size comparison and still enough left from a fiver to buy a cold drink.
