    Jeremy:

I did the seats on my 67 last winter. Total cost including vinyl covers, foam, hockey sticks, misc parts was about half of your number.

Reseach the archives, and you will not find it that tough. I am a relative novice and acheived a pretty decent result. Suffered a few blisters with the bottoms - but that was the worst of it.

    Good luck

Most any reasonably good shop can do this cheaper and just as good as Knoch. Look for a shop in your community.

I totally agree....I think that after all the other stuff I've learned how to do on these cars (with a LOT of NCRS help!) I'm going to go for it. And after looking at the foam from my donor seats, I think I may just re-use it....the buns & backs are still in nice shape, they're still pliable( I have one of those Mr. Twister rechargeable fish cleaning knives that looks like it would be perfect for t*******, if the need were to arise!) and like I said, it's just a driver. Our club gets their stuff through Corvette America. Now, I bought a set of door panels for my car from them, the price was great, but OH MY GOD was the color off......I'm considering yanking them off and dye-ing them, as the cheap spray dye is closer to the original color than the CA color is!!!! Is it safe to assume that the seat covers would be the same way? I was eyeballing Corvette Central's stuff...if they carry the Al KNoch products, I think they'll be getting my order soon. I was just hoping that since I live 15 min. from St. Charles, I could have my seats re-done right there at Bloomington Gold and watch them do it, and throw them in the car and have cushy new seats for the smoke show on the Road Tour. Alas, such is not gonna happen.....but thanks for ALL the insight, gentlemen!!!!!

          Jeremy,
You can purchase the seat covers and foam from Wilcox a whole lot cheaper and get nicer covers. The answer to install price is to put them on yourself. It's not hard nor difficult. Takes me about 6-8 hours at a comfortable pace.
