Has anyone used Doctor Don's in Huntsville Texas to have a radio repaired? If so, how would you rate them.

John:
If you want quality repair locally contact Mike Genetti at 248-808- 9480. He used to be the old radio repair specialist at Royal Radio in Royal Oak (just closed down after 50+ years). I had my '69 radio done by him and am very pleased with his work and he was very reasonably priced.

Re: Radio Repair
I apoligize for jumping in on John's thread, but I too have a radio question. I need that little brass eschuion () that presses into the bass/treble control. Right now it just spins on the volume shaft and I can only change the bass/treble by removing the knob and twisting it by hand, a pain to say the least. It is a C3, 1971.

Re: Radio Repair
Dr. Don repaired the radio in my 72 about 2 years ago. The turnaround was quick and the radio works fine now.- Top

Re: Radio Repair
Jim, I too used Mike Genetti for my radio restoration, while he was @ Royal Radio. I actually recommended Mike to Jeff, and Jeff used him with apparent satisfaction. Mike is a magician with the old-school electronics, including radios and more. Mike's phone number is listed in Jeff's post. I suggest you call him and see if you can send your unit to him. When/if you talk to him, tell him I said hi.Don Lowe
