    Rough idle

    Took my 66/427 out today for about a 45 min ride. Car never got over 180 degrees but toward the end of the ride whenever I stopped at a light it idled very rough, almost stalling. Got it home and let it sit for a while and when started again all was ok. Could it be the gas was getting to hot? Didn't think it was hot enough but it's the only thing I can think of. Any other ideas?

    Dave;

    Lots of possibilities here. Was this the first time you've had your car out since winter lay up? If not, did it run ok recently?

    I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this. Lots of questions and possibilities. All it takes is a choke hanging up a little or something else as simple as a little dirt in the carb, etc.

      Stu,
      It's been out numerous times and always ran great. I guess I'll let it go and see if it happens again.

        Dave;

        Maybe you just have to take that baby out and flog it! Might be a little loose carbon fouling a plug. Mine never complains when I put it away in the garage wet and panting! (How did that old horse story go?)
