C1 Soft Top Front Weatherstrip Pics

I am installing my front bow weatherstripping on a virgin top for my 60.

Any pics of the final appearance would be appreciated.

Close ups around the latch area specifically desired.

    Thanks.

    Joe

    Joe,

Sorry but I don't have any photos of my top weather stripping at the moment.

But I can offer a recommendation: If not too late, fit the frame to the body BEFORE you install the vinyl top and subsequent weather stripping (place towels between the rear bow to protect the body). You can fit the frame with the weather stripping more or less in place if you like (most go on after the vinyl is stretched in place). But you will get a much better ultimate fit if you tweak the naked frame to the car first.

If you get no replies with photos please say so and I will take some and send them to you.

    Regards,
    Mike

Mike, the vinyl was already glued in place.... and the top is allready assembled in place and works. The front weatherstripping was the last step.

The retainer that i have does not go all the way to the edge.. Doesnt seem right to me.

Here is a pic of the front of mine during the installation of my soft top (only one I could find). Hope it helps.

            Joe,

Here are some pics of original tops. Note that the three adjustment screws and the alignment pin are not painted.
