I suppose most of the guys are at St Charles (Pheasant Run) for the Bloomington Gold show, but here goes a short one from a guy left behind;
The new 63-64 JG (Page 81) states that the metal vent tube from the rubber grommet in the cylinder case (back of engine) to the hose connecting it to the PCV valve at the back of the carburetor is approx. 3/8" diameter and is of a NATURAL FINISH.
Does any one know what is considered a "natural finish" after 45 years? Rust? I have my original one which I painted semi-gloss black after cleaning, and the one on the car now which is a repro in what appears to be a cad plating or silver anodized finish. Which one should I use and claim to be correct?
Thanks in advance for a shout.
