Looking at the AIM and JG did 67 Corvettes have carpet underlayment?
If so what kind of underlayment was used?

Wasn't it that jute underlayment that people always mention? Least that was what I thought.

The underlayment could be jute. But where is it called out in the 67 AIM?

F11 shows the front carpet and calls for "insulation". They also keep referring to a "carpet chart" in the aim points, so I wonder if it is dealt with there as well. Rear carpet is F13 and 14. That is all I see. Not sure where else it might be mentioned.

The jute underlayment came to St. Louis already glued to the back side of the carpet by the carpet supplier. The "chart" callout refers to an Engineering drawing that lists individual part numbers for each color and style of carpet (instead of cluttering up the AIM illustration with long lists of part numbers).

The "insulation" (item #9) is the separate insulation pad that goes on top of the tunnel from below the radio to the firewall.
