What is Correct Brand/Color Chassis Paint

I will be painting my chassis and other metal parts that require painting and am looking for advice on what brand paint to use.

GM had there Corvette frames made by A.O. Smith Co. between 1963-1982. The frames were dipped in black paint. The paint has a slight gloss but is not gloss black. This paint is not available today because of EPA requirements but the chassis black that Eastwood Co. makes is close. Use a professional resperator when spraying this paint. No primer was used on Corvette frames and other chassis parts. The paint will stick to clean bare metal, if you have serious rust use a rust encapsulater before you apply a finish coat. Your other choice would be to have your frame powder coated in semi gloss black but this is not correct for a original build.

From what I understand, the degree of gloss may vary as the frames were exposed to the elements for varying periods of time prior to assembly. Weathering apparently took its toll on those exposed longer than others.

After a lot of research and color matching, I ended up using PPG DP90LF epoxy primer for the frame. I couldn't be happier with the result.
