Here's How to thoroughly enjoy the Corvettes at Lime Rock

Being in the right place , knowing the time of an event and the location can ensure you will actually get more than a distant view of a Corvette in the action. Following the schedule of events ensure you will be near the Corvettes, when they are not racing which is only for a few hours on race day.

Frankly without very stout legs and a youthful cardiac pump, this journey does requires the use of a golf cart to attend separated events and locations for photography. However most race tracks have a 5 foot barrier which hinders fan photography. Therin the golf cart provides a ready raised photography platform when a tripod is set upon the canopy and the rear step and seat provide you an elevated viewing platform.

Tech inspection is right across from the Corvette tent garages. Stay between them and the Corvettes will come right by pushed by the crew or towed by an ATV type vehicle.





The end of the paddock has great views of big bend and into and out of the esses. The hillside has these same great views also. Lots of big dirt escape areas that get lots of wear and tear. I got a video of an old Greenwood model in the dirt, among others.


The entrance to the drive over bridge. My buddy Fred who has raced here says, it looks like the bridge is going to chop the top of your head off because it looms low, however the course drops off.
