Multiple questions........

I have items I need help with:

1. What is the current part number for the crush sleeve that goes on the pinion gear in a 67 Corvette rear end?

2. Which issue of The NCRS Restorer had an article on restoring a midyear glove box door?

3. Does anyone have design plans / drawings for a storage cradle / stand that will hold a smallblock engine with the 4 speed trans still attached?

For the cradle I would weld up a frame long enough to go from the motor mounts to the transmission mount and put wheels on it. In front I use old motor mounts and a 2" square tube cut a a 45 degree angle and a hole for the mounting bolt. In the rear just a pad to hold the transmission mount.
The cradle I use the bellhousing is attached to the motor but the transmission is not.

1) The last available spacer WAS GM #3954483. However, it was discontinued without supercession several years ago;

2) don't know;

3) I've found that the Moto Feet engine "dolly" is the best thing out there for what you seek. Also, very easy to STORE after you don't need it for an engine dolly.

I may have the sleave you need, NOS. I have a box of diff parts, all new gm stuff, shim kits and I believe one sleave in a box. I will check tonight and let you know.

Rex, I have a rolling stand by Longhorn Manufacturing Company, Fort Worth, that I am very pleased with. The engine plus transmission stand is mounted on 5 locking rollers, powdercoated grey metallic and weighs approx. 30 lbs. The stand is internet priced at $129.00 and can be viewed and ordered at www.prorollers.com. They have three Chevy models, one for an LS-1, Model ES-501for small or big block with any transmission, Model ES-503 for early front mount Chevy with any transmission and a Ford application, also. The stands have four mounts for the engine and one for the tailshaft of the transmission. Their Tel # is 817-284-5000 and FAX is 817-284-5017.

I spoke too soon, the spacer I have is grp 5816 pn 3820224 and it is for the spindle bearing assy. Sorry.
