    1970 LS-5 PCV Question

    Hello Everyone,

On pg. # 79 in the fourth edition of the 1970-72 Judging Manual is states

"On 1970 vechicles without the EEC system, the hose leading to the PCV valve is attached to the vacuum port on the carburator base and has a green spring clamp"

It doesn't say how the PCV valve is attached to the hose at the valve cover end. Do I assume that it is also a green spring clamp?

Could someone tell me what's correct - Thank you.

According to GM it had the same clamp on the PCV end as on the carburetor end. However, I believe that at least sometimes, the clamp was omitted in PRODUCTION. My 1969 was supposed to have the clamp on the PCV end, too, but it never did actually have a clamp at that location.
