A while back one of our members who had a friend in the military asked for people to send books and magazines to the troops in Afganistan and Irac. I sent some then but did not keep the mailing information. My son in law is in publishing and has amassed quite a collection to send so needs the address etc. Does anyone have this info? If so please publish it here or send it to me : Thanks in advance. Rich jcmsp062@aol.com

Re: Books for our Troops
Rich,
I don't know if this is the same information or not but this is off the Corvette Forum. Several of us had sent boxes in the past year and the troops really do enjoy them. It is a small token each of us can do to help make their time overseas go by faster and possible bring them some relief no matter how small. I didn't read the entire post but if I remember right you can send a fair size box that holds 15-20 magazines for flat rate of $8.95.
If we could all talk to our Corvette club, Lions, Elks, churches, local VFW, etc I'm sure we could help out several troops. The address in the post is for troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. In the instructions it mentions to put "To Any Soldier" on the box so it will not come back to you if it is not delivered however our postmaster said after 9/11 they could no longer do that. Perhaps someone that addresses their boxes that way has an update or can instruct what needs to be done. We never got any of the boxes back but received several letters and e-mails after they were received. Good luck Rich and if you need any help let me know.
Take care,
Shooter
