1970 Big Block Exhaust

I ordered my new exhaust system and was told by the vendor that all of the pipes are 2 1/2" except for the muffler outlets, which are 2". It was also explained to me that the original system was configured the same way. Unfortunately, I don't have my original system to compare. Should the muffler outlets be 2"? Thanks.

Bob,

The system I bought is from Paragon. The best I've seen so far is from Gardner, but it comes in regular steel only. I'd rather not look at rust on a car I spend two thousand hours restoring so I'm going with the aluminized pipes and will take the point hit.
