71 side glass problem

Hi,
I am removing the side glass from my 71 coupe. I am not having any luck however removing the front guide channel. It has a tab on the bottom that will not allow me to remove the stop, and then the glass. Could someone enlighten me on the correct way to get the glass out? Thanks for the help, Mark

Hi Mark,
Isn't the lower stop below the roller that's mounted on the window glass? You should be able to pull the window up out of the door after you disconnect the regulator arms from the long channel screwed to the glass. Item #2, AIM, UPC 1, Sheet K2. AND take the upper stops out.
The 2 lower stops can stay in place until you take the CAM ASM , RR & FRT, out of the door. Items #1&4, AIM, UPC 1, Sheet K4
You can't pull the CAM ASM FRT, out of the door until the glass is out of the door because of the lower stop and tab.
