    67 Expansion Tank Overflow Tube

Where is this tube supposed to terminate on a 67 S/B?

Just replaced my original tube with a lot longer repro. Both the AIM and JG don't indicate a point of termination, other than at the rail.

In doing my battery project, I noticed that there is a nice little notch in the splash shield under the battery, and in its seal. Did the overflow tube go through this notch.

Well, right or wrong, the new tube now goes through the notch. Seems pretty logical to overflow coolant below the shield, rather than above it.

    Gerald,
On my 67 small block bowtie the expantion tank tube is 24" long and is routed thru the notch you are talking about. Not sure if that is the way it came but that is how mine is routed.

Keith, Speaking of Bowtie 67 S/B cars, how is your wire harness routed above the master cylinder? Is it in just 1 J clip above the M/C, and then hung from the hood release cable bt T straps?

        Jerry,
That is where I routed my tube, it seemed the most natural spot.

          Brian,
You are correct. It is held by one J clip above the M/C, then a t-strap. I have a total of 7 t-straps across the firewall.
