Hum, I wonder if a Signal-Stat flasher with a 'T XXX' date code could be factory correct for a Corvette? Going way back (50's to early 60's) Signal-Stats were embossed "Brooklyn, NY" on the bottom. That's not a very cost effective manufacturing location!

Later, they expanded having two plants; one in Syracuse, NY and the other in Toronto, Canada. If memory serves, a date code of the format 'T XXX' indicates the flasher was assembled in the Toronto plant on XXX date.

Doesn't seen logical for Signal Stat to build flashers in Canada and export them from Toronto to St. Louis with the respective import duties that would apply... Why wouldn't they supply the US from their New York State plant?

You may or may not have a point. I have a used Signal-Stat 175 flasher (green painted print) which I removed from a 68 Camaro about 20 years ago with a "S407" date code (Syracuse, 40th week, 1967; I assume). I also have a used Signal-Stat 144 flasher (embossed) that I removed from a 64 Chevelle, again, about 20 years ago stamped "T4463" (Toronto, 44th week 1963; I assume) . I firmly believe the flashers were the original ones installed on the assembly line. I don't think the import/export was a big deal. I have seen many 1970 Chevrolets in the junk yards of southern NH and western Mass. with 350 engines which were made by McKinnon Industries (a Canadian company).
