door lock unit and bezel part number

Is door lock unit part number 3932975 interchangable with any other model years? I seem to be missing one and wondered if this was unique to 1968. Also I have the same question for the bezel, part number 9716320.

Both the lock and the bezel were unique to 1968 Corvettes. The lock, GM #3932975, was never available in SERVICE from GM. Instead, an uncoded lock of GM #3936223 was the SERVICE part. It was also unique to 1968 Corvettes.

          Dave:

I have a 68 coupe and had to buy a lock set this year. You will not find them in any catalogue. I bought mine from Piper Auto but they had a major fire earlier in the year. Don't know what it did to inventory or availability. They had one in stock (used, but in great shape) and I had it within a few days. It was expensive. Their web address is: http://www.pipersauto.com/ and you can get their contact information there. The only other way is through salvage yards.

          Good luck.

Thanks Chuck. That is one source I had forgotten about, but it has been about 4 years since I've had to chase parts and I changed computers since then also (lost some bookmarks). Much appreciated.
